Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with several years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and production environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment and electrical components while ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety standards.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair all manufacturing equipment and electrical components.Troubleshoot and work with 480v 3-phase systems.Read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings.Follow and take initiative in the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, including improving the program.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the facility.Repair mechanical issues independently when needed.Monitor equipment performance, document and evaluate potential problems for root cause solutions and improvements.Ensure workplace compliance with OSHA standards, provide safety training, and maintain safe tools and equipment.Develop and implement hazard communication programs for hazardous chemicals, ensuring employees are trained on proper precautions.Train new employees and retrain employees as required.Participate in accident/incident investigations and conduct safety talks with employees.Authorize official time for employees to participate in occupational safety and health programs.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an Electrician.Knowledge and troubleshooting ability with 480v 3-phase systems.Experience in troubleshooting and working with Allen Bradley PLCs.Ability to read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings.Comfort working with the Electrical Safety Code.Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and PLCs. good creativity, self-confidence, and time management skills.Team player mentality.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertifications and licenses are a plus.Experience with welding and fabrication is considered a strong asset.Hold a valid Electrical Journeyman or Electrical Contractor license.Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing various drives and instrumentation devices such as encoders, transducers, and thermocouples within a PLC control circuit.Ability to size and run conduit and connect wires to various electrical equipment and plant components.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position operates on the 1st shift (Monday to Friday) from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The facility is non-climate controlled, and the team is focused on getting the site back up and running.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken, New Jersey.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
