Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, designing, constructing, testing, calibrating, adjusting, and modifying various electrical and electronic equipment. This includes communication systems, radios, radio-controlled cranes, gauges, measuring devices, ultrasonic and fluidic equipment, VDTs, PLCs, microprocessors, numerical and programmable controllers, low and high voltage power distribution systems, rectifier equipment, and measuring and testing equipment. The role also involves performing preventative maintenance checks, inspections, and repairs, as well as interfacing with design and engineering teams to ensure efficient installations and repairs.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and correct problems while proactively seeking to eliminate wastes and failures.Interface with design and engineering teams to assure efficient installations and repairs and maintain equipment documentation integrity.Perform and document preventative maintenance checks, inspections, and repairs.Use PLC's, microprocessor-based equipment, and computer software applications for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification.Maintain hydraulic presses, which are 80-90% automated and include a lot of robots.Maintain thermal processing equipment and heat treat systems used to quench wheels.Maintain robots, including ABB Robots and Allen Bradley PLCs, with combustion experience being a plus.QualificationsElectrical maintenance and troubleshootingMotor control and photoeyesPLC troubleshooting and robotics automationExperience with 480v industrial electricityAbility to read and interpret schematicsExperience with Allen Bradley PLCs and ladder logicAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust have a journeyman's card or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institutionIndustrial maintenance expierenceExperience with automation and automated equipmentMust be open to working all shifts due to union requirementsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is heavy industrial with a lot of automation. The site consists of 7 buildings over 120+ acres, and you may be required to move between buildings as needed. You will be part of a maintenance department with 55 employees across three shifts. Shifts include 2nd (2:30pm-10pm) and 3rd (10pm-6:30am), with respective shift differentials. The company provides uniforms.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $87000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

- Howmet will get electricians through program to get them journeyman certified - this process takes 3 years (great opportunity to receive journeyman cert)
- Company typically puts anywhere from $10-20 million/ year into the facility for upgrades and new equipment, starting to upgrade to automation

- Vacation time - 1 year = 1 week, 5 years = 2 weeks (up for negotiation in union contract for feb 2024)
