This position is responsible for supporting the enterprise labor model and Workforce Management (WFM) applications through labor standards, characteristics, forecasting, and data analytics across our 2000+ locations. In addition, they will also provide support for company-wide labor initiative cost analysis and implement solutions into the labor model to produce the expected demand and coverage outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Oversee and manage the maintenance of existing, and implementation of new, engineered labor standards utilizing MOST® methodology preferably within our labor model application. Conduct in-depth analysis to determine impact to the organization resulting from revisions to engineered labor standards, changes in best practices or implementation of innovative programs. Extract data from enterprise systems and conduct analyses utilizing data analytic tools to create ad-hoc and/or recurring reports that provide information regarding labor utilization, planning and compliance to various levels within the organization. Develop systematic processes to monitor metric driver and labor requirement forecasts for accuracy (such as being in line with non-linear trends or responding to unforeseen factors) and implement procedures to adjust the forecasts within labor planning/labor scheduling systems to support stores in creating accurate and efficient schedules that meet the business needs. Coordinate with and support business partners, both internal and external, with requests for data, conducting analysis, and creating reports regarding labor planning and execution. Assist in system enhancements with the technical team maintaining the scheduling system. Create processes to identify, isolate, and revise inaccurate historical data within the labor planning system resulting from various scenarios ranging from failures in data transfers to configuration changes within the labor planning system. Evaluate current processes/practices in stores to identify areas of improvement utilizing Kaizen/Lean methodologies. Determine best practices in retail processes, maintain knowledgebase of trends and developments in technology and industry processes and apply this knowledge to further the organization’s competitive edge.Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience developing and managing engineered labor standards, performing cost and efficiency analysis, and supporting labor management systems.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial Engineering or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
