Industrial Engineer
Supports site efforts to maintain the Winland Management Operating Structure (MOS). The Industrial Engineer facilitates projects to review supply chain processes and related areas, applying process optimization principles to enhance products, quality, efficiency, financials, operations, and more. Responsibilities include working with management to develop project objectives, leading teams, coordinating the implementation of solutions, and tracking and reporting results.

Qualifications

Process Optimization:

Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall production efficiency.Continuous Improvement Initiatives:Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.Facilitate Kaizen events and other process improvement workshops to engage teams in identifying and implementing improvements.Track and measure the impact of CI initiatives on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production output, quality, and cost savings.Data Analysis & Reporting:Collect and analyze data related to production processes, including cycle times, downtime, and defect rates.Generate reports and present findings to plant leadership, recommending actionable insights for improvement.Collaboration & Training:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to implement improvement initiatives.Provide training and mentorship to employees on CI tools and techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement.Project Management:Manage CI projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers as needed to implement new equipment or process changes.Safety & Compliance:Ensure all process improvements comply with safety standards and regulations.Participate in safety audits and contribute to creating a safe working environment for all employees.Cost Reduction:Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through process improvements, waste reduction, and efficient resource utilization.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or consumer goods industry.Project management experience is a plus.
