Industrial Engineer
Job Title: Remote Industrial Design Engineer Job Description Responsible for the design, development, review, and release of new delivery stations as well as capacity enhancements and improvements of existing stations. This role requires providing process expertise in engineering design aspects such as material flow, labor placement, and equipment layout. Collaborate with various teams including Design Managers, CAD drafters, and Real Estate Transaction managers to ensure efficient and safe designs. You will also be tasked with implementing new design standards and expanding or retrofitting new processes to increase capacity and enhance safety and productivity at delivery stations. Ideally looking for someone that has industrial or manufacturing engineering experience. Must have experience utilizing AutoCAD and Bluebeam. If a candidate has architecture experience, they will need experience designing large industrial or warehouse projects. Hard Skills + Bachelor's Degree is required. Degree can be in engineering, construction, or architecture. + AutoCAD (Must Have) + Bluebeam (Must Have) + Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering + Architectural Layout design + Building design (Large industrial or Warehouse projects) + Process improvements + Workflow improvements QUALIFICATIONS: Design owner but need to get buy in from other teams as well as input from other teams Basic CAD knowledge is good; don’t need someone who is an expert (Autocad and Bluebeam) Design for Amazon’s delivery stations (would like someone that can understand the process) Candidate who can grasp the concept and process flow behind the design would be great. Someone with industrial engineering (purchase land and do design from scratch and we build the building for Amazon) Doing the interior design and own the overall design for new launch as well as initiatives and retrofits for new standards and technologies to see how we retrofit or redesign a building to incorporate a new technology) Everything is based off of a design standard and that can change everyday and be able to keep up with all these changes and work with all the teams together. Able to do trade off when facing constraints and able to make decision with ambiguity and able to get buy in. (There are not SOPs for design work) and someone who can make a decision by themselves. Want someone who has the ownership and knows what it means when we commit an ETA and being able to hit deliverable by that time. If we cannot meet that date we need to alert partner teams early enough Compensation range: $48.00-$50.00/hr. Work Site This is a remote role with 20-25% travel to sites across the US for new building retrofits and expansions of old buildings for projects they manage. We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our North America Design Engineering Team who will support the expansion of Delivery Station Network in North America (NA). We are seeking a Design Engineer to drive delivery station process, building design, and standardization across our delivery network. As a member of the NA Design Engineering team the Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and optimizing the delivery and sortation network, enabling operations processes to meet safety, customer experience, quality, and cost goals. The Logistics Team is responsible for the acquisition, design, construction, and management of all facilities in the Delivery Station Network.
