Industrial Engineer
What We Need: We are seeking an Industrial Engineer, who will be an integral part of Brady’s strategy to pursue excellence. In this role, the engineer will drive significant impact throughout the organization by using data to identify and solve real business problems. A successful candidate will tenaciously drive improvements across the global manufacturing sites and offices. While leading change in the organization, the engineer will also ensure that our business processes work for us, as well as meeting ISO compliance standards. This engineer is both a planner as well as a doer who wants to lead by example. #Li-Onsite What You'll Be Doing: + Capacity Planning – Develop and maintain models and metrics to measure equipment and factory capacity and output, and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks. Apply industrial engineering concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling and production planning. + Productivity Improvements – Drive a continuous improvement culture by participating and leading Continuous Improvement (CI) activities including Value Stream Mapping, 5S+, Standard Work creation, Set-up reduction, 3P, SPC, Rapid Improvement Events, and other Lean Tools + Layout/Workstation – Assist in planning production facilities and equipment layouts to meet existing and new equipment installations. Designing, procuring and installing jigs, fixtures, work stations and other support equipment to ensure safe and efficient work flow. + Automation and systems – Design, maintain and implement databases and systems to support performance and cost metrics, manufacturing execution and yield improvements/reduction of errors. + Quality - Track quality notifications, support operations to identify root cause, develop corrective actions and monitor compliance. Maintain monthly SQDIP board. Ensures conformance by operations departments. + Safety - Support facility EHS program. What You Will Need To Be Successful: + 3-5 years in Engineering with a focus on Continuous Improvement and cost savings + Self-directed and strong team player + Ability to objectively evaluate alternative solutions + Proven track record of delivering on improvement projects by working with cross functional teams + Ability to efficiently and effectively assess performance, set strategy aligned with the business and use metrics to drive continuous improvements. + Experience in the application of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent + Experience in implementation of ISO 9001 / 13485 standards + Statistical Software; i.e. Minitab, JMP, etc. + Microsoft Excel Master; Pivot Tables, VBA, etc. + Experience working in a manufacturing environment for consumable products + Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environment About Us: Who we are:When hospitals, schools, hotels, and even music festivals need to identify the people coming through their doors, they rely on PDC's expertise and solutions.
