Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, program and install new equipment as necessary to support current and future production needs. Upgrade and maintain older existing production equipment as necessary. Evaluate opportunities to incorporate automation and advanced manufacturing technologies. Support the integration of robotics, sensors, and other industry 4.0 technologies to enhance equipment capabilities. Actively supports broad and open communication with management, production areas, project teams, and other groups. Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organizations competitive edge. Analyze and map current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Design and implement new processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline operations. Identify opportunities for waste reduction, cost savings, and increased throughput. Ensures full support of the development cycle through active participation in applicable design reviews and all Production Readiness Reviews. Interact with vendors and suppliers to ensure the ongoing support of new and existing equipment. Other duties as assigned.
