If you need content to finalize this requisition for posting, please send a message to mydanahrplatform@dana.com.Job Duties and Responsibilities Support manufacturing operations and problem solving while making improvements. Support major plant initiatives, kaizen events, and other strategic goals in the plant. Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Design, develop, and implement systems to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize the use of resources. Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work procedures and improve labor utilization. Collaborate with production managers and other stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop layout plans for new facilities and optimize the layout of existing facilities to improve workflow and reduce production costs. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for proposed projects and improvements. Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain documentation related to production processes, equipment, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), PFMEAs, control plans. Train and support staff in the implementation of new processes and technologies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain, to achieve manufacturing objectives. Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actions Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies and industrial engineering practices. Perform other duties as required.

 

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering or equivalent  3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have corrective action and problem-solving experience using tools such as 8D, Five-Why or a similar methodology. Ability to perform statistical analysis and be able to read blueprints.  Must have Lean experience, training in time studies with APEX preferred. Experience with PFMEA, DOE and process improvements preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills to permit effective interaction with all levels of Dana and external customers. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and / or Autodesk Inventor. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple duties and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills along with data analysis skills. Good decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently; self-motivated to manage through shift priorities and issues.
