Industrial Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating integrated systems for managing industrial production processes. This includes human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Your goal is to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure optimal use of resources.

This position reports to the Sr. Production Manager, Simms and is based out of Bozeman, MT. 

As the Industrial Engineer, you will have an opportunity to:

Process Improvement:Analyze existing production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations.System Design and Implementation:Design and configure manufacturing systems to optimize the use of resources including personnel, materials, and equipment.Implement new production processes and ensure their effectiveness and sustainability.Data Analysis:Collect and analyze data to understand trends and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Use statistical methods and software tools to interpret data and make informed decisions.Project Management:Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and supply chain.Quality Control:Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet required standards.Monitor production quality and make adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards.Inventory Management:Oversee inventory levels to ensure that materials and products are available when needed without excess.Implement systems to track and manage inventory efficiently.Safety and Compliance:Ensure all processes comply with industry safety standards and regulations.Conduct safety audits and implement measures to prevent workplace accidents.Training and Development:Train staff on new processes and systems.Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge.

You have:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in industrial engineering or a related role.Strong knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.Proficiency in CAD software, MS Office, and statistical analysis tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with various stakeholders.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
