Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $97,531.00 – 108,800.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Perform inspections, investigations, and analyzes technical manufacturing or logistics processes and sequences. Plan, propose, and implement improvement projects on site or unit level to set the respective targets, budgets, and personnel resources. Contribute to budget development and ensure alignment to agreed budgets in Industrial Engineering. Develop and implement performance measurement and improvement initiatives. Collaborate with other engineering functions, external vendors, or service providers to monitor and approve respective services and work deliveries. Handle ramp-up phases of new production and test equipment, or production launch of new products and life cycle support. Conduct time and motion studies and derive time standards for production calculations. Preparing standardized work instructions, floor layouts, and material storage configurations. Developing department procedures to improve business and warehouse transactions.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in an Industrial Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in an Industrial Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Locomotive or Rail Experience.
2. Creating rolling stock work instructions, workbench optimization, and technical writing.
3. Working with AutoCAD and SAP.
4. Working with bogie manufacturing materials and processes.
5. Conduct time studies on production activities and transform results into process and safety improvements
6. Layout planning for warehouse 5S/Lean methodologies and work material flow optimization.
10% Domestic Travel Required. Telecommuting may be permissible pursuant to company policy. [Hybrid Role]
