Industrial Engineer - Intern

As our Industrial Engineering Intern– you will report to the Operations Manager. On a given day, you may: Collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) & Lakeland team to design manufacturing fixtures for Production and Quality Control, ensuring that parts comply with engineering requirements and JBT QC standards. Tooling and fixtures are identified, designed, and produced for the shop as needed Ensure that all projects and Sales Orders (SO) meet labor and cost expectations. Generate and track reports on labor and cost variances, ensuring that Industrial Engineering (IE) adjusts routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) accordingly. Report activities to the reporting manager on a monthly basis Review shop floor load compared to availability to coordinate with Production working schedule Examine engineering drawings to ensure the production process optimizes cost-effective methods, whether in-house or through subcontracting.. Complete general operational reporting and analysis as needed Requirements for the role To be eligible for the internship, candidates must be working on a bachelor’s degree in operations, finance, Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or be a recent graduate. Proficient at data visualization and design through the use of PowerPoint and Excel to provide meaningful and intriguing analysis in a thoughtful, concise manner for Executive Management. Must be available to work approximately 20+ hours You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
