Job Description:

The Industrial Engineering Supervisor is responsible for improving productivity and defining process flow for use in improving brokerage operations by increasing productivity, reducing cost and meeting service commitments. He/She creates operating plans and procedures; develops, implements, and assesses operations’ long and short-range operating plans; and assists operators with implementation of operating plans, services, procedures, and technology. The IE Supervisor supports operations over multiple states and shifts (covering over 200 employees), utilizing multiple systems and process models to provide tools, training, methods certification, and assistance as needed to support the achievement of the business plan. This position also ensures that best practices are identified, documented, implemented and forwarded to other geos. The Geographical IE Supervisor II oversees supervisors, specialists, interns, and co-ops.

Adhere and maintain business timelines. Develop statistical analysis, system modeling and layout creationDevelops and maintains working relationships with cross functional teams, management and customersAbility to be on camera and present remotely to large audiences and staff level managementDemonstrates an in=depth knowledge of GFF operations; evaluates new or improved processes and technologies, understands the impact of emerging trends on GFF operations, develops strategic plansTrack, record, interpret and present capex spendAnalyze vehicle and Material handling annual ordersUnderstand and consistently demonstrates UPS high ethical standards and code of conduct.He/She manages and develops supervisors and specialist

Requirements

Must be organized and have excellent excel skillsMust be superb presenter and present professionally on cameraAble to utilize various software for creation and completion of projectsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and effectively lead as project manager

Preferred

Familiarity with Vehicle and Material handling equipmentEngineering Degree or related discipline, or equivalent in education and work experienceManagement experience in Engineering
