We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Principal Industrial Engineer and be based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be mentored by a senior engineer with forty years’ experience in Silicon Valley manufacturing as you do a “deep dive” into each of our manufacturing processes:
Observe each process closely (“genba”). Talk heavily with the operators, technicians, and engineers involved with each process. Thusly learn each process in detail and flowchart it.Conduct time studies of each process and/or pull and analyze data to improve the accuracy of our capacity model.Create a list of opportunities for improvement throughout the factory—yours and those of the people with whom you talk.Implement at least one significant improvement
