Position Summary

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday / 8-hour shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

$7,500 Sign on Bonus – $3,500 paid after 30 days and $3,500 paid after 1 year

Bridgestone Americas is seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician for our Wilson, NC facility. The position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems with the Wilson, NC manufacturing plant. The role ensures optimal performance of climate control systems to support production processes, employee comfort and equipment functionality. The technician must follow safety protocols, adhere to regulatory requirements, and work collaboratively with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, heating ventilation units and air handler unitsTroubleshoot and repair DX systems (Steam and electricity - control humidity for critical production assets)Plan, train, and lead other HVAC technicians on plant industrial HVAC equipmentUnderstand, maintain, and monitor Metasys controls for all HVAC equipment and troubleshoot and respond to all alarmsImprove current HVAC infrastructure to allow better troubleshooting of equipmentHave capability to troubleshoot alarms and maintain Munters Units, Dehumidifers, 3x 1500 Chillers for the Chiller PlantPlan and execute preventative maintenance for all process equipment as well as comfort cooling equipment utilizing BAAMRespond to critical equipment emergency calls and lead JCI branch service technicians to the site for corrective actionResponsible for preventative maintenance parts including filters, belts, compressors, safety equipment and refrigeration removal equipmentTechnical certification or associate degree in HVAC/R or a related fieldEPA 608 universal certification for handing refrigerants (or ability to obtain)Experience in Industrial HVAC maintenance or commercial HVAC maintenanceStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environment

Nice to have:

Experience planning preventative maintenance activitiesExperience with continuous improvement projects (Kaizen)
