Summary:
Tetra Tech invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity within our Billings, MT office as a Field Technician. As a Field Technician, you will assist a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to collect real time field data at oil refineries in the region. 0-2 years of experience preferred in asbestos inspections and current certifications as a Montana asbestos inspector, asbestos contractor/supervisor, and HAZWOPER are desired but not required, Tetra Tech will provide training to the ideal candidate. Construction/building systems background experience preferred. A current driver’s license is required. Clear driving record within company standards. Must be able to pass federal background and drug screening.

Your Role:
This position requires field, office activities for asbestos inspections, abatement oversight, monitoring, at project sites in Billings, Montana. The field requirements will include working in oil refineries around processes involving hazardous materials that operate at high pressures and temperatures. Work activities will include conducting asbestos inspections, overseeing asbestos abatement projects, and collecting air samples. The ideal candidate will also be trained in environmental compliance activities. Office duties will include job safety analysis, data evaluation, and reporting. Tasks associated with reporting may include the preparation of text, tables, charts, and figures.Qualifications:
High school diploma required, college degree preferred. 0-2 years of experience. State of Montana Asbestos Inspector License preferred but not required. Familiarity with the MS Office Suite and Adobe. OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred but not required. Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Maintain enrollment in DISA drug testing. Be able to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to steel-toe shoes, ear protection, eye protection, hand protection, and fire-retardant clothing. Be able to climb 150 feet in height and wearing fall protection. To work outside in all weather conditions. A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.Target salary range: $22.00 / hour to $24.00 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
