ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Industrial Hygiene/Safety Leader will:
Provide proactive leadership of all industrial hygiene and radiation issues.Coordinate all aspects of comprehensive exposure assessment process including basic characterization, qualitative risk assessment monitoring, data analysis, recommendation development, and documentation. Coordinate all aspects of an exposure control system to include evaluation of new materials, evaluation of process changes, investigation of substitution of processes and chemicals, engineering controls, PPE and Respiratory Protection.Collect air, wipe and bulk samples for dust, metals and other regulated materials/ chemicals Operate industrial hygiene equipment and perform Indoor Air Quality assessments and sampling.Conduct and maintain written industrial hygiene risk assessments.Review and approve all incoming SDSs on all chemicals.Administer all aspects of a hearing conservation program.Reduce noise exposures in the facility and thereby team members in Hearing Conservation Program (HCP)Develop and maintain excellent local and state agency relationshipsAbility to obtain a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) certificate.Assist EHS team in data analysis to identify trends.Develop corrective and preventative actionsOwnership of Facility Heat Stress ProgramOwn or actively participate in one or more EHS Framework Element(s)QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field)Minimum of 3 years of Health & Safety experienceDESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
