We are looking for an **Industrial Hygiene Technician** to join our **Columbus, OH** office. **Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Conduct surveys and inspections for asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint + Perform asbestos and lead-based paint abatement monitoring **Minimum Requirements:** + 1-5 years’ experience conducting asbestos surveys/monitoring and/or lead-based paint inspections + State of Ohio Asbestos Hazard Evaluation Specialist and/or Asbestos Hazard Abatement Specialist + Valid driver’s license required as field work and local site travel is required + 40-hour HAZWOPER training **Technical Requirements:** + Must be able to enter, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form + Possess a good understanding of trade and technical terminology + Communicate with clients, contractors and staff effectively and professionally + Should be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established deadlines + Should have competent computer knowledge including Microsoft Office (NEPA, FERC etc.) **Other miscellaneous qualities:** + B.S. in a related environmental field + Experience with air sample microscopy analysis by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) + Experience with radon and/or mold **Atlas EEO Statement** Atlas Technical Consultants is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
