Industrial Machine Operator
Schedule: Mon - Fri 3:00pm -11:30pm Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation within an assembly environment, with specific expertise in the manufacturing process. This role requires proficiency in reading tape measures, using calipers to measure steel thickness, and understanding basic diagnostic principles of pneumatics and hydraulics. Key Responsibilities: Operate Assembly Machines: Efficiently operate industrial machines, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to production standards. Measure and Inspect: Use tape measures and calipers to accurately measure and verify the thickness of steel components to ensure they meet specified tolerances. Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Apply basic diagnostic principles to identify and resolve issues with pneumatic and hydraulic systems to maintain optimal machine performance. Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks on assembled parts to ensure they meet company specifications and industry standards. Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on assembly machines, including lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine maintenance, and quality control checks. Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and departments to optimize production processes and achieve team goals. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in machine operation, pneumatics, or hydraulics is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or assembly environmen. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading tape measures and using calipers to measure steel thickness. Understanding of basic diagnostic principles of pneumatics and hydraulics. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are essential. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
