Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining company equipment. You will troubleshoot equipment breakdowns using schematics, drawings, and PLC programs. You will work within a cross-functional team to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing process improvements and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesPerform repair, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production machines.Diagnose machine problems and take appropriate corrective actions.Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.Perform equipment setup and preparation for production.Conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation.Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of plant production and facilities.Read and modify existing PLC/Robot/Vision programs to fix or make improvements to manufacturing equipment.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshootingHydraulic and mechanical troubleshootingPLC troubleshooting (Omron, Allen-Bradley, RSLogix500, and/or T.I.)Experience troubleshooting in an online environment (i.e., plugging in with handheld or laptop)Experience with electrical/electronic systems such as sensors, relays, and wiringExperience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams and printsProficiency with computers and programs such as Microsoft ExcelExperience with robots and servosExperience with preventative maintenance practicesStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated and highly organizedAdditional Skills & Qualifications2-year Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical or equivalent experience3-5 years of experience in industrial/electrical maintenanceExperience with Omron PLCs, ability to modify programs and troubleshoot (Allen-Bradley is also a plus)Ability to modify/read robot programsExperience with servos (IAI/Mitsubishi)ABB robot experience is a plusWhy Work Here?
