Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting and modifying PLC-based equipment and capable of working with various electrical systems and components.
ResponsibilitiesReceive work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, and routine repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance.Interpret drawings and sketches to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed for troubleshooting and repairs.Repair, rebuild, and test electrical components to ensure equipment is operational as quickly and efficiently as possible.Perform maintenance on existing equipment (80%) and upgrade equipment (20%).Troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints, and schematics, with knowledge of 3-phase electricity.Work with AC/DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, inverters, and motor drives.Bend and run rigid conduit ranging from 0.5 to 2 inches.Diagnose and repair various equipment such as presses and machines.Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of required tools and equipment.Maintain tools and equipment to ensure their availability in safe operating condition.Understand and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls.Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repair.Essential SkillsFive years of experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to use computer-based software to complete job tasks.Experience in troubleshooting and modifying PLC-based equipment.Proficiency with AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, inverters, and motor drives.Skill in working with conduit and fittings, wire and cable, and hardware installation.Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.Proper use of tools and measuring devices.Strong emphasis on safe work practices.
Schedule:
Rotating Schedule 4 12' hour shifts, one week days one week nights
Pay:
