Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-quality consumer goods, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Commerce, CA. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation, listening for irregularities, and utilizing precision measuring and testing instruments.Dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examine parts for form and texture.Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Inform production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques to control downtime and monitor compliance.Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt.Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines as required.Repair electrical equipment as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Requirements:
Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.Availability to work overtime as required.Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment.Electrical training/experience with 480V 3-phase/machine controls.Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred.Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures required.Experience operating forklift equipment.Ability to successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to safety and continuous learning and development.Successful completion of training courses as determined by management.Pay & Schedule:
Pay Rate: $22 per hour.Monday to Friday.6:00 AM – 2:30 PM2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
