Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair equipment and processes used in the manufacturing of medical devices. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various trades including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and instrumentation. You will ensure the facility's equipment and systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with federal and state regulations. **Responsibilities** + Install equipment and processes using sketches, drawings, and prints. + Maintain PM performance and KPI for Maintenance through maintenance software. + Perform water treatment and monitor discharge of waste to the sewer system; document activities to meet compliance regulations. + Maintain and clean systems and equipment as required. + Keep working area in accordance with six S program. + Perform minor and major repairs to building, systems, and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler systems, and grounds maintenance. + Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment. + Maintain inventories and order materials as needed. + Safely work with a variety of precision hand and power tools. + Assist with industrial hygiene studies related to employee safety, such as hearing conservation and ventilation studies. + Complete in-house calibration, maintain logs, and record data to comply with GMP, ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies. + Perform other related duties as assigned or required. + Maintain mechanical and electrical systems related to the maintenance, repair, and improvement of industrial machinery. + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. + Read and understand diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, and other materials used in the maintenance function. + Work with a wide variety of precision tools such as veneer calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks, and optical and laser alignment tooling. + Fabricate basic parts using hand tools and power machine tools such as drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and lathes. + Design control systems and build control panels for specialty equipment used in the manufacturing process. + Demonstrate basic welding knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and production equipment. + Troubleshoot PLC, software, and hardware, making recommendations and performing software changes. + Work from prints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs. + Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, calibrate, and test a wide variety of instrumentation for improved reliability and uptime. + Read, interpret, and perform wiring tasks according to specifications and schematics for the installation and repair of equipment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair, including PLCs and hardwiring. + Mechanical skills in pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, valves, and motor pumps. + Experience with facilities maintenance including compressors, HVAC, waste, and water systems. + Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, and other materials used in the maintenance function. + Proficiency in the use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. + Knowledge and experience in computer usage. **If you're interested in this position, please contact Melissa at (847) 580-2812.
