Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance (Millwright) in our Scarborough, Ontario facility.
Job Summary:
This job will be responsible for the layout, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of our production equipment. They will also diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions with production equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform and document preventative maintenance as scheduled. Work with the management team on the predictive maintenance strategy. Work with operators and setup to help enhance their skills where able. Work with engineers and external resources on integrating new systems. Demonstrate basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge and ability. Coordinate with all plant services and contractors as required. Responsible for mentoring/training apprentices. Assists with the installation of plant equipment and occasionally assists in equipment design. Know what fits are required for various services. Ability to handle heavy equipment safely and have knowledge of foundation work. Capable of high and heavy hoist rigging especially for installation of equipment. Maintain training and certifications such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Assists in the development of the plant occupational health and safety program as well as fire safety and equipment. Ability to work independently as well as work in a team setting that includes other trades people and professionals to install, repair and maintain production equipment. Learn about new equipment on the job by reading manuals and through hands-on experience. Responds to breakdowns on plant equipment, facilities, and buildings. Responsible for conducting root cause analysis and quickly resolve problems by implementing appropriate corrective actions and preventing reoccurrence. Perform proper follow up on repairs to implement long term solutions. Maintains preventative maintenance programs and ensures regular checks and lubrication on all equipment. Act in accordance with company policies and best practices. Other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Troubleshoots problems on production equipment and facilitates and determines maintenance requirements. Check and addresses any issues to all air lines and filters. Maintains operation of the compressors and air dryer systems. Performs welding when required. Assist in minor electrical repairs and can reset equipment safely. Effective written and verbal communication skills Open availability/flexibility to work overtime as needed, including extended shifts and/or weekends.Education and Experience:
Certified Industrial Millwright 433A license. In good standing with College of Trades Minimum of 3 years in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Hands-on and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
