2nd Shift Maintenance Technician, Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery, consisting of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Details:

Direct Hire position$23.00 /hourSecond Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 12:00am)Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, air diaphragm and electric pumps and production machines. Capable of following diagrams, P&ID’s, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installationsLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring toolsRemoves defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power toolsAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipmentControls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring complianceWelding, fabricating and knowledge of machining using manual machines such as a vertical mill, lathe, surface grinder a plusOptimizes maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsMaintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalitiesMaintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Familiar with OSHA 1910 standards in manufacturing such as Hot Work, LOTO, PIT, Confined Space.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related fieldCompletion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plusExperience with Industrial maintenance requiredThorough working knowledge of pumps, electric and pneumatic, valves, piping, hydraulics, PLC, motors and drivesSelf-motivated, responsible and Safety Oriented individualLearns and applies standard tools and techniques to solve problemsProblem Solving, looks for root cause of issues and breakdowns to eliminate repeat failures
