Industrial Maintenance Technician
Our client is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance team supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. **Job Title:** Industrial Maintenance Technician **Location:** Bronx, NY **Pay Range:** $25.00 - $30.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation) **What's the Job?** + Daily assessment and maintenance of equipment covering the following areas: Punch press, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assembly, Tool Room, Lathe/Machining Department + Disassembles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts. + Electrical – understand electrical schematics to make equipment repairs + Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager. + Completes assigned projects covering general repairs in above mentioned areas + Participates in the coordination and movement of plant equipment. + Provides support to OEM mechanics, electricians, and technicians on equipment installation, maintenance, or repair. + Safety - verify that the manufacturing equipment does not pose employee hazards. + Performs other duties as assigned. **What's Needed?** + Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Must have valid NY driver’s license and forklift operator’s certification. + Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and their repairs. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. + The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. + The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of equipment or personnel. + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. **What's in it for me?** + Weekly Pay + This is an Hourly position with overtime available + Full time Monday- Friday 7:00AM- 4:30PM + After 90 days, potential to permanent If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
