Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will oversee the maintenance operations for 3 small facilities that are very close together, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are functioning optimally. So, they will need to be well-experienced and self-sufficient with multi-craft industrial maintenance work and able to handle all aspects.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage maintenance operations within the machine shop.Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues.Checking PLC inputs and outputs with a multimeter - no ladder logic usage.Perform fabrication and welding tasks.Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production.Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.Essential SkillsMechanical maintenanceElectrical maintenanceBasic PLC troubleshooting.Proficiency in fabrication and welding.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Experience with sanding, grinding, and polishing.Ability to work in a dirty, hot, and older facility environment.Why Work Here?

Job Type & Location
This is a contract-to-hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN with the duration of the contract being 4 months, but the company can always buy out the remainder of your contract and make you an offer to be a permanent employee sooner.
Starting Pay: $23-$28/hr, depending on experience, with opportunity for advancement from there
Shift: 1st - 5:00am to 1:30pm
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Weekly Hours: 40, maybe sometimes 45
