JOB DETAILS 

1st Shift 

Pay Rang starts at $28-32 per hour 

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician I is primarily an apprenticeship position with responsibilities including but not limited to, setting up equipment as needed, repairing equipment, and ordering replacement parts

Support manufacturing operations by responding to maintenance calls and completing simple repairsTroubleshoot all equipment in a timely manner – call for additional support on complex problemsLearn and support manufacturing equipment recipe changes and control adjustmentsUnderstand and maintain/adjust basic drive train and power train componentsPerform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructionsStart up and shut down equipment per established procedures and schedulesEnter all work completed in computer-based maintenance programMonitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms Qualifications 18 years or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentIn progress of obtaining an Associate Degree in related field desiredMinimum 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentBasic knowledge in mechanical repairs and troubleshooting techniquesProficient in Word and ExcelMust be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locationsBasic understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuitsBasic understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistanceFamiliar with electrical measurement devices(voltage meters, micrometers)Basic knowledge of pneumatic systemsAbility to use windows based software programsAbility to express verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate problem-solving skillsPossess strong work ethic and knowledge of simple troubleshooting.Skilled in following directives of more senior level technicians and/or SupervisionPrefer some level of basic metal fabrication and welding experienceKnowledge of and experience with proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out proceduresFlexible and willing to work various maintenance shiftsAble to attend training sessions as required, including out of state travelThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to read printed materials and a computer screenWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear.
