Industrial Mechanic
Job Title: Mechanic

This role executes all assigned work safely, effectively, and efficiently within the general scope for the mechanic role. You will provide feedback on preventative maintenance that might improve the process and note additional work required on inspected equipment. You will respond to emergency or unplanned work as needed, including callouts, and work on plant modifications including work on capital improvements. Additionally, you will participate in the operation of plant utility systems.

ResponsibilitiesComply with all safe work practices, using proper PPE, fall protection equipment, etc.Complete preventative maintenance work and provide feedback on any issues.Complete all required documentation.Repair and install equipment as needed.Troubleshoot hardware and processing issues.Oversee the work of specialized contract services such as boiler inspections and chiller inspections.Participate in the Mobile First Responder Team, where applicable.Manage input to work orders and notifications in SAP.Complete labor hour time confirmations in SAP.Complete goods movement transactions in SAP for the use of spare parts.Assist in managing the MRO parts warehouse for mechanical items.Participate in operations of plant utility systems such as the boiler, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air system, main firewater supply pump, and chemical feed system for water treatment.Paint, label equipment and piping, and perform carpenter work as needed.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingMaintenance technicianMechanicalRepairHydraulicsPreventive maintenanceWeldingReading blueprintsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2 years vocational school technical training strongly preferredMinimum 3-5 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing preferredGood written and verbal communication skillsGood math and reading comprehension skillsCompletion of 10 modules (minimum) of mechanical skills training requiredGood computer skillsExperience in SAP or use of other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferredExperience in the use of modern tools such as laser alignment and vibration data collectionExperience in the operation of cranes, man lifts, and other equipment as neededNon-code welding experienceWhy Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
