**Job Title: Industrial Mixer Operator**
**Job Description**
The Mixer Operator is responsible for making batches of material in accordance with customer’s and internal specifications. Responsibilities include weighing materials, cleaning the mixing area, and troubleshooting any mixing problems. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Manager or Group Leader.
**Responsibilities**
+ Review Mixing Schedule
+ Produce batches in mixer, as scheduled
+ Inspect reconditioned drums prior to use as per guidelines
+ Dump batches from mixers
+ Communicate with the previous mixer to discuss any irregularities or special instructions
+ Produce standard production batches by following the Mixing Procedure
+ Notify Group Leader and QA of any abnormalities
+ Maintain correct identification on batches
+ Complete necessary paperwork correctly and timely, including batch tickets and mixing dump reports
+ Inform Manager of any unidentified or mis-identified batches, drums, or raw materials
+ Report safety and maintenance concerns
**Essential Skills**
+ Mixing, Batching, Compounding
+ Chemical handling
+ Machine operation
+ Blender operation
+ Forklift operation
+ Production and batch documentation
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must be able to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly
+ Comfortable working in a facility with strong odor
+ Able to pass a skills key test
+ Able to pass an audiogram test
+ Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience
+ Prior mixing and batching experience
+ Forklift experience (optional)
+ Chemical manufacturing experience
+ HS diploma/GED or equivalent

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves exposure to manufacturing operations such as moving equipment, noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. The facility is climate controlled and primarily involved in automotive material production. Shifts include 1st shift (5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday), 2nd shift (3:30pm – 2:00am, Monday – Friday), with potential weekend work based on business needs. PPE including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds are provided. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
We are looking for candidates who will be able to work a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract To Hire position based out of Evansville, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $23.25/hr.
