Industrial Painter

$18-$10/Hr based on experience

Do you like to get your hands dirty? Have you previously painted in an industrial setting. This opening may be just what you are looking for. A local manufacturing company is looking for an experienced industrial painter.

Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted, which may involve sandblasting, power washing, scraping, grinding, or chemical treatments. Ensure surfaces are smooth, free of contaminants, and ready for painting. Mix paints, coatings, and other materials to the correct consistency and color according to job specifications. Apply multiple coats of paint or protective coatings as needed to meet project requirements. Maintain uniform coating thickness and coverage to ensure a long-lasting finish. Inspect the applied coatings for quality, ensuring there are no bubbles, streaks, or imperfections. Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and machines (e.g., spray guns, brushes, mixers) to ensure they function properly and are ready for use. Troubleshoot any issues with equipment, such as clogs or malfunctioning parts.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. Some roles may require completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship in industrial painting. Proficiency in using painting equipment, knowledge of various types of paints and coatings, and understanding of surface preparation methods. Previous experience in industrial or commercial painting is required. Experience with specialized coatings (e.g., anti-corrosion, heat-resistant) is a plus. Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working at heights. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail are essential.
