From corporate campuses to single sites, EFS provides a range of services that support mission-critical areas of financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, transportation, and government sectors. **Job Title: Industrial Painter** Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and/or protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of commercial, manufacturing, and industrial buildings, and other structures. Directs the activities of other workers associated with the painting operations. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Maintain a safe and clean work area. Demonstrate basic safe work practices based on company and customer policies and procedures. + Able to attend and pass certification and licensing classroom and practical training for rolling stock, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, etc. + Perform preventative/corrective work based on CMMS workorders and/or receives instructions from supervisor or customer regarding painting. Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. Selects premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors. + Removes fixtures such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting. Spreads drop cloths over floors, equipment, and room furnishings, and covers surfaces such as baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. + Paints surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers. Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level. + Support other EMCOR Associates with work orders or routine maintenance, as needed. + Maintain, organize, control, inventory supplies, tools, and equipment. + Clean and organize shop area. Maintain inventory of spare parts and material. Maintain tools and equipment for maintenance work. + Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities. + Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, service on-call rotation, and maintaining tools. + Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Completion of a Plumbing Apprenticeship Program preferred. + 5+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. + Must possess a valid driver's license. Valid Forklift License preferred. + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions operating and maintenance instructions, and memos. + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. + To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. + The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
