Industrial Painter
**Job Title: Industrial Painter** **Job Description** We are currently looking for an industrial painter to assist in the production of customized solutions for military products. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of mixing Epoxy/Polane/Carc paints and the use of HVLP spray guns (specifically as it applies to finishing metals). Candidates will need to perform visual quality inspections on all finished products and ideally help to train other technicians in the role. This position will also require the industrial painter to work with customers as a technical consultant to ensure a strong strategy in delivering the specifications and requests. **Responsibilities** + Selecting and mixing coating paints to desired color and preparing spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray guns. + Taking direction from area lead and following that direction while being a self-starter when not working under direct supervision. + Reading and understanding technical documents such as paint mixing procedures and maintaining sprayer equipment as required. + Becoming efficient with painting techniques, meeting company productivity rates, maintaining mil thickness, and learning all aspects of the job as required. + Cleaning spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily. + Maintaining the paint mix room while following the company safety policies. + Operating the blaster to clean steel according to specified safety requirements. + Maintaining proper respirator care and operation and using the breathing air supply system when spraying epoxy paints. + Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that ensures good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. + Continuing to grow lean knowledge and using the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. **Essential Skills** + Industrial Painting experience - 2+ years + Blueprint Reading + Experience with spray guns and working with metals **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Powder Coating Experience + Experience consulting with customers + Familiarity with Military specifications/standards + 1-2 years of experience as a manufacturing painter + Good mathematical ability and ability to read and interpret blueprints + Ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors + Willing and able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive benefits package, 401k, and paid time off once employees convert to full-time. This position is for the 2nd shift, from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am. The work involves handling various tools and equipment in a safety-oriented setting. The dress code aligns with industry standards for safety and professionalism. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HAGERSTOWN, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
