Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

We are seeking two experienced industrial painters for our plant in Alma. One position is available for night shift. Painters will be responsible for prepping surfaces of parts and equipment, applying primers and other coatings according to blueprints, and maintaining clean work areas. This role requires the ability to assemble and disassemble paint equipment for cleaning and perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing ladders.

ResponsibilitiesPrep surfaces of parts and equipment for paint material.Apply primers and other coatings according to blueprints.Clean and maintain work areas.Assemble and disassemble paint equipment for cleaning.Perform spray operations and standard finishes where advanced knowledge of blast profile is required.Lift up to 50 lbs. with mechanical assistance for heavier loads.Perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing of ladders.Essential Skills1+ years of industrial paint experience including coating, masking, and prep work.Experience with industrial paint, paint prep, and paint sprayers.High School Diploma or GED.Knowledge of painting, paint shop operations, sandblasting, sanding, spray guns, and blueprint reading.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a paint booth environment.Understanding of safety protocols when handling solvents and harmful fluids.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our facility spans nearly 700,000 square feet of manufacturing floor space, offering a well-lit, climate-controlled environment. The paint shop is large and spaced out with work cells scattered throughout. You will frequently encounter fumes from paints, thinners, and cleaners, and must use appropriate filtering apparatus. Handling of solvents and harmful fluids is occasional, requiring the use of gloves and other protective attire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
