Foth Production Solutions works closely with consumer product companies to solve their toughest technical challenges. We partner with clients to help streamline their capital spending and business decision process, enable operational efficiencies, and launch new products. We provide clients with a flexible offering of project engagement that ranges across consulting, engineering, design-build, and/or mixed execution through project start-up.
Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Process Designer who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This position will be working out of our Bear River City, UT location. This position will have the support of a large team, but will currently be the sole permanent on-site representative of Foth for our client at this location. There will be opportunities to grow the on-site presence team based on performance.Primary Responsibilities:Audit Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) in the field and redline them as needed Perform Process Safety Studies on audited P&ID’s as neededTravel as required for fieldwork and/or other client/business objectivesWork collaboratively and build effective relationships with othersCommunicate effectively across all levels within the organizationInteract with clients regularlyRequired Qualifications:Knowledge of P&ID’s and Process flow diagrams related to process systemsAbility to gain Procter & Gamble Process Safety certificationAbility to work independently and interface with customer contacts in a professional manner on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent technical experienceCertification to perform process safety studies at Proctor & Gamble5+ years of process/piping design for industrial projects
Preferred previous experience with the following is advantageous:Creating and modifying P&IDs and PFDsDesigning in 2D and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD MEP, Plant 3D, Revit)Paper industry projectsHVAC ductwork designDeveloping Bill of MaterialsConstruction support for an industrial environmentExecuting process/piping design projects according to ISA (Instrument Society of America) standards for P&IDs and PFDsPreparing design packages using AutoCAD and 3D modeling softwareTaking field dimensions, gathering equipment information, measuring equipment, preparing sketches, and developing piping isometricsPreparing engineering documentation for construction activities
