Local Division Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the Industrial Sales segment within ABB Measurements and Analytics in the UK & Ireland. This will be a home-based role, reporting to the UK & IE Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering annual orders and profitability budget through the leadership of a Sales Team across the region. The role also includes that of Market Development and Channel Partner Management responsibilities. This position will be responsible for targeting mainly, but not exclusively, the Industrial Process, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Food & Bev (Distilleries), Fiscal Metering and Low Carbon Energy vertical markets both directly and through supporting ABB Value Partners. Key stakeholders will include:•\tMajor End User Clients•\tEngineering Companies & Contractors•\tSystem Integrators•\tAssociated Plant Manufacturers, OEMs, etc. •\tABB Value PartnersThe work model for the role is: remote {#LI-remote}You will further be accountable for:•\tExpanding of existing business across existing and new market verticals through sales of Field and Flow Instrumentation, Service offerings and Solutions•\tCreating and executing a sales strategy and initiatives to achieve profitable growth•\tLeading a team of Area Sales Managers across the UK•\tCollaborating with ABB’s Value Partners (AVP) throughout the UK to support their sales activities with a view to growing ABB’s Channel business•\tCollaborating with other ABB businesses to maximize selling potential into key market verticals and clients•\tEnsuring that ABB’s level of integrity is upheld and that Health and Safety is never compromised•\tMotivating and driving a sales team to excel.

Qualifications for the role

\tDegree/HND/HNC within an Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic or Chemical Engineering related discipline\tDetailed knowledge of Instrumentation and proven prior Sales Management experience within the targeted verticals.\tDriving license \tHome based, residing within the Sales territory\tAbility to use a CRM system such as Salesforce\tStrong awareness of the commercial impact of technical decisions\tComfortable engaging with varying levels of authority within client organisations
