Industrial Support Engineer

Position Summary
Thales is looking for an Industrial Support Engineer to cover worldwide repair and production activities, Provide technical support of APRU for product investigations during complex repairs or customer expertizes, Technical support of APRU for integration, test and product release for production of spares, Analysis and treatment of product or process technical events (JIRA) issued by worldwide repair centers and escalation to RPS or DA (Design Authority) with information to PSE for analysis of customer impact for in-service phase.
In this position, you will also work to follow-up on in-service industrial maturity (Repair FPY, Number of technical events issued by APRU, In-service removal rate) and propose improvement actions all along product lifecycle to achieve APRU performance objectives (Quality, Cost, Leadtime) through evolution of repair standards (Flow or work standards).
Key Areas of Responsibility
Responsible to support, diagnose and assist in technical issues during the product repair process; Coordinate and ensure all elements of Industrial repair readiness is achieved for new product Entry into Service; Share and implement best practices from the Industrial Support Engineering business network; Lead in problem solving and Kaizen activities.Develop and implement tools necessary for improve or establish repair activities within the region; Collaborate with Repair Line Managers to track and analyze APRU KPI’s.Be the liaison between Product Support Engineering, Ground Support & Repair Tools Engineering and Repair Operations to determine the most appropriate solution to technical issues.Setup and validate repair standards evolutions (definition of process changes), Check maintenance in operational condition of industrial capabilities (obsolescence issues) with relevant PE departments ( Industrial Engineering, maintenance, Integration / test & diagnostic, …) to guarantee business continuity; Animate Repair technical support network to share technical knowledge, good practices and competitiveness initiatives
between repair industrial sites and with IPT.Be part of industrialization phase of new products to bring and capitalize experience got with in-service products and ensure technical support of APRU for Entry into Service of new products; Assess operations impact of product definition evolutions with Supply Chain, Process engineering departments and APRU.Perform technical analysis on PSE request or product impact analysis for metrology deviations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.Ability to engage and deliver results; Solid organization, decision-making, judgment, and team-oriented skills; Ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment, dealing with numerous inside and outside organizations; Above average level of personal responsibility with well-developed sense of urgency.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization as well as external customers; Self-motivation and successful track record of direct contribution in resolution of complex technical issues.Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to discuss and resolve differences in opinion in a professional, objective and respectable fashion.Must be able to work alone and in a team environment, large and small; Knowledge of Windows Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio).Good understanding of manual and automatic test benches.

Special Position Requirements
Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday and will occasionally involve working some Saturdays and Sundays.Physical Environment: Office environment and air-conditioned electronic lab.Travel: This position may require domestic and/or international travel 20%.Regulatory Compliance Requirements: None.What We Offer
