We are seeking an Industrial Wastewater Technician for assignment in Syracuse, New York. The selected candidate will perform O&M activities for our client's industrial wastewater treatment plant.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
** This position has a pay rate of $21 - $24/hr **
Responsibilities- Diagnosing operating problems and performing necessary corrective action
- Basic wastewater plant operations and maintenance
- Underground line cleaning
- Data collection and recordkeeping
- Cleaning, troubleshooting and repairs on pumps, plumbing and motors
- Construction equipment operation
- Exterior building and grounds maintenance
- Groundwater sampling
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- 40 HAZWOPER is a plus
- Confined Space Entry trained is a plus
