Opensignal collects vast amounts of unique data on the real-world experience of networks globally. We are looking to add to our existing team of Analysts to enhance our ability to uncover and communicate data-based insights on the telecom market as we quantify the real-world experience of new network technologies such as 5G.
What will you be doing?
By combining Opensignal’s market-leading data with your expertise, you will craft stories that illuminate trends, empower stakeholders, and shape the global conversation around telecommunications and broadband innovation.
Specifically:
Industry Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about international mobile and broadband developments, including fiber/FTTx, 5G, fixed wireless access, operator strategies, streaming, emerging business models, wireless spectrum auctions, gaming, and AR/VR/XR. Adapt your analysis to different regions and market characteristics. Data-Driven Storytelling: Leverage Opensignal’s proprietary datasets to create granular, insightful content that provides decision-making support for a wide array of stakeholders. Content Creation: Develop technical content and compelling visualizations tailored to diverse audiences—from non-specialists to industry experts. Produce both short-form and in-depth written reports for publication. Thought Leadership: Originate ideas for new analyses, short reports, or quantitative studies. Represent Opensignal publicly through press interviews, speaking opportunities at trade shows, and other events. Team Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Opensignal, including Data Science, Engineering, Marketing, and PR, to identify storytelling opportunities and bring them to life. Mentor junior team members to build their analytical and storytelling skills. Contextual Analysis: Place Opensignal’s data within the broader industry context, addressing topics like mobile and broadband rollouts, operator strategies,, and emerging use cases such as AI and satellite Global Perspective: Tailor content to reflect the unique telecommunications landscapes of various markets and stakeholder considerations.Desired Skills & Abilities

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for crafting insightful, data-driven content tailored to diverse audiences. Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the mobile, broadband, telecom, or technology sectors with a strong grasp of business models, technologies, and market dynamics. Applies industry knowledge to projects independently, builds content strategies aligned with objectives, and evaluates the impact of industry changes while staying attuned to key players and emerging voices shaping the field. Analytical Acumen: Ability to structure and communicate insights using both quantitative and qualitative sources. Communication Excellence: Exceptional English-language writing and editing skills, with a proven track record of creating clear, engaging, and well-structured content for senior technical and enterprise audiences. Comfortable presenting complex data in both visual and written forms, making insights accessible and actionable. Collaboration & Adaptability: Eager to work closely with colleagues, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive work environment. Energized by a fast-paced environment where priorities and messages frequently shift, requiring agility and adaptability. Independent Drive & Curiosity: Self-motivated and curious, willing to learn new tools and techniques independently. Able to independently research telecommunications markets and drive new analyses forward.Preferred Qualifications
