Industry Manager – Power & Metals

Job Summary: 

 If you are looking for an opportunity in the field of Industry Manger, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Power & Metals Industry Leader whose primary objective is to maximize bookings in the Power (Conventional Thermal, & Renewable) and Metals & Mining Industries by working closely with all stakeholders within the organization. Power includes Sempell sTeam Solutions (STS) business. Steam conditioning across all Industries. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Ensure compliance with Emerson ethics policy, trade compliance policy, business unit policy, safety, and quality program requirements.  Serve as the Power/M&M/W&W/P&P Industry Subject Matter Expert for the Flow Controls Business Unit in India  Keep up with developments in products, industries, competition, and market trends by acquiring data from the Project Pursuit manager, public domain, and subscribed newsletters.  Building of specifications for major projects from the pre-tender stage by working in conjunction with the EPC/FEED consultants and influencing specs.  Provide product level training, application-wise strategic selling pointers to Sales team thereby improvement support to EPCs, OEMs, End Users, and sales channels  Guide and support Application Engineering teams for solutions involving Power/M&M applications in both Project as well as KOB3 pursuits by working with Asia-Pacific and M’town Industry teams as required. Drive solution-selling for End-users and improve business from competitive displacements and upgrades to Fisher, Yarway & Sempell installed base by way of Site Walkdowns, Solution seminars and focus discussions with End Users. Own, maintain and improve our approvals with Power/M&M /W&W/P&P consultants & End Users Work closely with Project Pursuit leader to understand upcoming projects across the Power/M&M industry segments, identify potential product requirements and gaps, work with Industry team in AP & M’town to address them. Support service team to resolve any field problems in Power/M&M/W&W/P&P industry by providing application & solutions expertise Support PM/Operations in smooth execution of critical project orders Focus on customer segmentation & support regional sales in getting/improving KOB3 returns from installed bases.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Instrumentation) Proficient English 10 years of professional Industry experience in Control valves segment. Experience in sales environment, preferably on capital project sales and solution selling Willingness to undertake extensive travel Having the ability to drive all people for the same goal. Good presentation skills and persuasive ability

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Deep knowledge of Fisher products and solutions Fair knowledge of Power/M&M, severe service applications & corresponding Fisher solutions Interpersonal skills and able to relate well with all levels of staff Good Presentation skills & persuasive ability Time Management, focusing for results while dealing with ambiguity Problem Solving Skills & product differentiation capability Good collaborative approach and team building ability to achieve common goal.
