Industry Marketing Manager

Business and Position Overview  

 

The technical marketer is responsible for driving customer curiosity about NI’s product and solutions for their assigned business segment! Primary focus will be on Energy segment. Key responsibilities include driving demand generation efforts including events, training the sales force, and technical content creation.

 

This role will collaborate closely with many groups including business management, R&D, marketing, and sales. 
 


 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Build strong product positioning that pinpoints the value of our NI products and systems. For energy, this includes both traditional and sustainable energy applications.   Demonstrate this value by creating demos, whitepapers, presentations, collateral, videos, enablement, webinars, and other content to convey NI’s value proposition.  Work with web teams, campaign marketing, direct sales, distributors and our community to evangelize your message and content to a wide audience.    Spend time with users to develop your own expertise, becoming the “go-to” subject matter expert for NI’s products and solutions in their industry segment.  Use this knowledge to support presales needs and large events (eg. NI Connect) 

    For This Role, You Will Need: 5+ years of relevant proven experience Strong technical skills and understanding of NI hardware and software, particularly around measurements, data acquisition, and control. Outstanding communication skills, including technical writing, messaging, and speaking publicly at live and virtual events.  Curiosity about strategic/business acumen.   Self-motivated but collaborative work ethic.  Availability for some domestic and international travel requirement (5-10%). 
 
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: You have existing NI technology knowledge, from university, previous jobs, or engineering curiosity You’re have worked alongside B2B sales roles or have done sales enablement You feel comfortable talking across organizations and level to discuss strategy and tactics with your respective customers
