Position Summary

The IndySoft Configuration & Support Specialist will be responsible for managing our IndySoft calibration management software, ensuring that it is functioning at optimal levels, and improving it to meet the growing needs of our organization. They will be responsible for configuring, implementing changes, and supporting the IndySoft application at Transcat.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Configure and implement new features and functionality within our IndySoft environment in a manner that is both scalable and maintainableIntegrate separate lab locations into one central IndySoft system, including data migrationProvide exceptional technical support to Transcat's IndySoft users of varying skill levels via phone, email, and our internal ticketing systemTroubleshoot IndySoft and related software issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions specific to Transcat's workflowsCollaborate with Transcat's internal teams (IT, Service Operations, Sales, and Finance) to understand and address IndySoft-related challenges, and test functionalityResearch and escalate complex technical issuesDocument solutions and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base specific to Transcat's IndySoft usageStay up to date on the latest IndySoft training, software releases, and industry trends relevant to Transcat's operations, and provide training to Transcat employeesLoad IndySoft-related software packages and business applicable programs into our software portal and install software onto computers (e.g., Tech Sync, Web Tier Tools)Collaborate with the Transcat IT Helpdesk to maintain IndySoft-related hardware, peripherals, and environmental monitoring devicesTrack and communicate software changes between releases and updatesAdditional tasks as required to ensure IndySoft functionality and reliabilityModel the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned mannerOther duties as assigned Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to design, configure, implement, and maintain software applicationsStrong understanding of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamA passion for providing exceptional customer serviceExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical usersAbility to travel to our international network of locations (< 50% total travel)Ability to provide occasional after-hours support to perform software upgrades and deploy new configurations, minimizing downtime and disruption to laboratory operations

Education and Experience

5 years of experience working in calibration laboratory operations2 years of experience with IndySoft software usage, configuration and implementation, and creating IndySoft reportsExperience with database administration and SQL queriesExperience with IndySoft scripting, preferredAssociate’s degree or higher in a technical field, preferredWorking knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025) and calibration automation software applications (e.g., Fluke MET/CAL, MET/CONNECT), preferredExperience with ticketing systems and knowledge base management tools, preferredExperience in technical support or a related field, preferred
