SCCC REFERENCE #: 24-38 DATE: July 2, 2024 TITLE: Infant Lead Teacher CAMPUS: Ammerman Campus in Selden POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Infant Lead Teacher at the Campus Kids Children’s Learning Center- Ammerman Campus is a SCC Association position and as such, salary and benefits for the position are determined according to the Association salary and benefits package. The Infant Lead Teacher reports to the Director of the Campus Kids Children’s Learning Center. Job Description: + Plan, supervise, and implement the Children’s Learning Center program in accordance with professional standards and the policies and philosophy of the Center (i.e.) under direction of the teacher. + Structure the program to the needs, interests, special talents, individual styles and rates of learning of the individual children. + Coordinate the intern program with the Early Childhood advisor; participate in the training and evaluation of student teachers. + Assist in the supervision and evaluation of the Assistant Teachers, and part-time teaching staff. + Maintain the appearance and learning environment of the classroom. + Assist the Director in describing the program to visitors and parents and with public relations evens sponsored by the Center. + Maintain a positive liaison with the parents of the children. + Monitor conditions to ensure the children’s safety at all times; acquaint children with safety rules. + Monitor the daily attendance of the children, including individual arrival and departure times. + Assist children with age appropriate personal needs as necessary. + Practice universal precautions at all times. + Attend staff meetings and training program, conferences and courses as required for licensing regulations + Attend staff meetings and training program, conferences and course related to the young child. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood and two years’ experience in a licensed Early Child Care Center. Must also have the credentials mandated by The Office for Children and Family Services for the age group being taught HIRING SALARY: The salary range will be prorated based on the number of weeks the employee works in a year.
