An Infection Prevention Nurse will:
Assists the DON in directing all nursing activities within the hospital and in assessing and monitoring the quality of nursing services provided.Assists the DON in interviewing of staff. Conducts new employee training and orientation.Participates in departmental and team meetings.The IC/NE is also a working RN and routinely and personally executes nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan.QualificationsEducation:Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or relevant healthcare degree licensure required or certified Infection Control Practitioner.
Experience: Previous experience as an infection control practitioner preferred.
License:Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing relevant to the state of the hospital preferred.
