Position Summary:
Under the leadership of the Regional Director, Infection Prevention, the Infection Prevention Coordinator is accountable for the implementation and compliance with policies, practices, and process of the Infection Prevention program, following all current local, state and federal guidelines, standards and regulations.
The Infection Prevention Coordinator provides subject matter consultation and champions and fosters a culture of safety for patients, staff and visitors.
What an Infection Coordinator know:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or university in Nursing (RN), Infection prevention, epidemiology, public health, or other healthcare related discipline.Current license in the associated fields if applicable.Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred and required within 2 years of hire.Current American Heart Association BLS Certification obtained within one week of hireThree years relevant acute care experience. Experience in health care delivery with past interaction with medical staff and hospital administration.Previous education and experience in utilization and quality improvement preferredExperience in Infection PreventionOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
