INFECTION PREVENTION NURSE
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Come join our team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position and may require working at Saint Francis Hospital, Mt Sinai Rehab Hospital, and/or our medical group sites. **Position Purpose** Implement the Infection Prevention & Control program to minimize the acquisition and spread of infection in patients and personnel **What you will do** + Serve as an expert in infection prevention and control and a consultant and resource for departments and hospital personnel in matters of infection prevention and control + Educate concerning matters of infection prevention and control and infections + Teach residents and medical students rotating on the Infectious Disease service + Conduct research studies in the fields of Infectious Disease and Epidemiology **Minimum Qualifications** + RN required, must have Bachelor's Degree and current CT License in good standing + At least 3 years experience in nursing, clinic laboratory or epidemiology + Certified in Infection Control strongly preferred, or apply for certification after two years employment in Infection Control **Position Highlights and Benefits** + Full time 40hr position.
