We partner with our Nurses at Terre Haute Regional Hospital! **Job Summary and Qualifications** **The infection preventionist is responsible for coordinating the hospitals infection surveillance, prevention and control program. This must be done in a manner consistent with current recommendations from Indiana State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, Joint Commission and CMS as well as OSHA.** **Position responsibilities:** + Maintain log of infections and other infection control records and files in a manner consistent with those mandated by regulatory bodies + Maintain knowledge of current governmental requirements for reporting certain infections and diseases as mandated + Monitor hospital laboratory reports · Follow-up on CCI indicators and isolation precautions + Track surgical site infection rates through review of hospital data and monthly surveys sent out to physicians + Provide information to physician’s and their offices + Provide education to staff as needed on current infection control practices What qualifications you will need: + Current licensure as an RN by Indiana State Nursing Board + Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing + Current BLS certification upon hire + Previous nursing experience in acute care setting + Certification in Infection control preferred Terre Haute Regional Hospital (https://regionalhospital.com/) has provided quality healthcare services since 1882.
