Position: Infection Preventionist Nurse

An Infection Preventionist is responsible for the facility's infection prevention and control program (IPCP), designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and help prevent the development and transmission of infectious diseases and infections. 

The ideal Licensed Nurse candidate for this position should possess excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.   

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with surveillance throughout the facility to promote infection prevention, Ensuring adherence to infection control standards, policies, and procedures, and reviewing and monitoring reporting data regarding facility-acquired infections, treatments, and control measures.

Qualifications:

Must have a South Carolina Nursing license (RN or LPN) Must have superior communication skills & be an effective leader Must be flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player Prior experience in Infection Control preferred Prior experience in LTC/ SNF preferred
