With this in mind, BayCare provides an array of benefits to help you meet the daily challenges of balancing all aspects of your life and career goals. + Medical benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) + Paid time off + Tuition reimbursement + 401k match and additional yearly contribution + Yearly performance appraisals and team award bonus + Extensive training and mentorship along with amazing career growth opportunities + Community discounts and more + **AND the Chance to be part of an amazing team and a great place to work!** **Key responsibilities:** + Actively suggests and seeks ideas to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. + Able to prepare for group meetings by identifying key issues and expectations and can identify resources most likely to guide project tasks. + Demonstrates competence as an Infection Preventionist and is an active advocate for patient safety. + Independently develops educational material, delivers training on varied infection control, topics and exhibits a diverse skill set (surveillance, outbreak and post exposure contact investigation, analysis, education, communication). + Demonstrates strategic thinking by understanding health system goals and applying these to planning projects and interventions. + Rotation in the on-call schedule will be managed independently. + Helps lead the IP team preparation for Joint Commission and Regulatory readiness as well as assist with infection control policy revisions. + Orients and mentor new departmental team members. + Proficiency with utilization of NHSN definitions related to hospital acquired infections. **Minimum Qualifications include any of the following:** + RN License, Nursing degree and 2 years infection control experience or 3 years clinical related experience + Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Public Health and 2 years microbiology experience + 3years Microbiology experience with Medical Technologist Certification and Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Public Health + 2years Epidemiology experience with a Masters Degree in Epidemiology and at least one year of clinical experience. + Required Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) St. Joseph’s Hospital is Tampa’s only top-rated hospital named one of America’s best for five years in a row.
