Infection Preventionist - Infection Control

The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner.  An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

All Infection Preventionists (IPs) are accountable for implementation of and compliance with policies, practices, and processes of the infection prevention program at the facility, region, division and system level. In collaboration with the IP leadership, IP medical director, and IP peers, all IPs will follow all current local, state, and federal guidelines, standards, and regulations.
