·Utilizing a variety of instructional strategies, including classroom lectures, hands-on applications, performance drills, self-directed study, and e-learning, the designer will develop, maintain and incorporate technical regulatory content in training modules and knowledge validations for flight attendant training applicable to Federal Aviation Regulations and Transportation Security Administration requirements as well as United corporate policy and safety procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Frequently supervises curriculum to ensure content accuracy and alignment

·       Project leader supervising special annual CBT and development projects

·       Works cross-divisional with Inflight Safety, Flight Operations Training and Airport Operations Training

·       CBT courseware template development, design and troubleshooting, facilitate the stage and production testing process for Inflight Training CBT material

·       Interact with program courseware and other software applications which work with the Takeoff learning application as well as other utility systems that distribute and run regulatory-required and recommended Inflight operations flight attendant training material

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

·       BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required

·       2+ years of experience with programming instructional training, CBT content and assessments

·       Ability to earn the United Airlines flight attendant qualification

·       Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Authoring Systems, Articulate storyline, Adobe Creative Suites software and Flash/ Animate, Photoshop, Instructional Design Methodology and Technology

·       While performing the duties of an instructional systems designer, the employee must be able to prioritize work, function in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks

·       Project management experience, ability to plan and direct projects from inception to completion

·       Strong analytical abilities and be highly proficient with communication and organization skills and the ability to balance multiple projects

·       High energy with a positive demeanor and ability to adapt to constantly evolving work environment

·       Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, with a team

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to optimally communicate in English, both verbally and written

·       Proven desire to stay abreast of the latest developments and trends

·       Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

·       Able to work both independently and in a team environment

·       Proven conflict resolution and decision-making capability

·       Dedication to treating others with dignity and respect

·       Ability to respond positively to changes and constructive feedback

·       Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

·       Attendance is required at work location

·       Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

·       Willing to work some holiday, weekends, early/late hours, as needed by training operations

·       Some travel required

·       Ability to communicate clearly and optimally, both orally and in writing at all levels

·       Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Extensive experience and working knowledge of CFR Part 121 regulations, Advanced Qualification Programs, the Aircraft Operators Standard Security Program and United flight attendant responsibilities and procedures, eFAOM

·       Experience and knowledge of Advisory Circular 120-54A AQP

·       Programming utility software experiences in Web-based development knowledge and skills in XML, HTML, Adobe Creative Suites software and Flash/ Animate

The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $88,440.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
